Switching to Adult Fare =(

No more student pass as it is expired, no more bus concession at $27 and suddenly transportation cost for us inflated. One bus trip from my house to the interchange costs 69 cents and MRT ride to the city area could reach up to $2. Well these amounts may sound little but if I were to travel every day it would cost a lot. Now I know what it is like for poly students to come up with a petition to lower bus fares. I paid $15 to purchase an EZ Link card with $10 value and that $5 is non-refundable. Within the first day of the new year, the initial value of my EZ link card is now left with only $4.30. Cost of living has risen in this aspect. Well, lifestyle has to change somehow. From now on, I'm gonna use my bicycle often instead of the bus. Forget about forcing my parents to send me there. But the problem now is that the braking system of my bike is not functioning well and needs repair. Or I could even have a 15 minute walk to Pioneer MRT station. So troublesome! I won't use part of my salary to keep topping up the card. Need to plan thoroughly.

Anyway, on a brighter note, MOE has informed me that it has registered me as a relief teacher and I shall wait for a direct call by a school which requires my service. On a even brighter note, I had a wonderful outing with the ruggers yesterday. Ate at Hei Sushi, went to tour Giant and then lepak at Woodlands. Farewell to Kumaran and Damien who are going for NS in a couple of days time.
