38th Zone Colours Award Ceremony...

Daddy
MummyParents
Wong Jieh taking award
Myself taking award
?
With parents and teachers

Wong Jieh,Abel and myself as well as the volleyball team received the Zone Colours awards.
The event was held at Hwa Chong Institution.
And Hwa Chong athletes dominated the awards.
My family arrived early.Took some pictures there.
When Abel,Wong and I sat in the auditorium,Abel suspected that his phone was lost.
I kept calling his number but there was no response.
As the event was about to start, Abel realised that his phone was below his seat.
The talks by the guests were okay.
The boring part was during the presentation of awards.
The teachers and students took photographs after the event.
I took 4 packets of food from the refreshment area and brought it home.
Plus 2 more packets which my parents took them earlier.
I'll continue to be at my best for the upcoming competition, and also in everything I do.
Hari Raya is coming!
At the moment I'm feeling boring at home.
Exams over and I deserve to have more rests.
Should I read JC2 stuffs at the moment?
I'll see.

PROMO FEVER

3 DAYS OF TOTAL COMMITMENT
Monday-Econs
Tuesday-MT & Chem
Wednesday- History and Math
That's it.
Enjoy Hari Raya after that.
I'm not nervous like I used to be.
I can only feel nervous if I have not practice enough.
I can only feel nervous if I fail most of the tests in Term 3.
Never say hungry,though I'm fasting.
Never say tired, though I'll have to write 4 essays in 3 hours.
Never feel panic, coz it's a repeated process of writing stuffs that I've wrote before.
I'm ready.
I'll see myself doing A Level next year.
Good luck to myself and fellow Pioneers.

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I'M NOT FIT

I went to Jurong Polyclinic this morning with Hassan to have medical checkup.
The checkup is needed in order to participate in OBS.
During consultation, the nurse said that I have SLOW HEARTBEAT!
I was stunned.
I told her that I'm engaged in rough sports and have been always fit for PE.
She said 'sometimes sports can can lower your heartbeat'.
I reported to the ECG lab to trace the intervals of my heartbeat.
Damn.My heartbeat is not only SLOW but IRREGULAR.
The heatbeat rate of a normal person is 60,but mine is 54.
Abnormal.
How shocking and ironic for me to experience this.
Being in top 20 for 5 cross-country runs and had achieved many medals in sports,
it was disheartening to hear it.
And I didn't realised the problem until today.
It's frightening to me, after reading about sportsmen and NSmen who collapsed just like that while exercising.
The clinic gave me a referral NUH on a direct access.
I don't know when I will be admitted.
The doctor will call me anytime within this month and I will have report to NUH immediately.
Hope that will take place after promos.
As for the OBS thing,I'll talk to the teacher.
Feeling down now but I just have to continue revising for promos.
I have incomplete task that I want to achieve in life.
SMILE OFTEN =)
Everything will heal one day
But before the heal,
there's always pain
Faith is the catalyst

Ivan,Hans and I were the only PJC students who attended Caring Teachers Award Ceremony, out of 30 who had signed up.
The speeches by the award winners were inspiring and I was impressed by a teacher who is visually handicapped who has been teaching for more than 30 years.
Congrats to Mr Michael Kwok for winning this award!

Went home straight away after that event.
I had nothing to do anyway.
Mock exams are coming and I'll have to treat them seriously, though not counted for CA.
A pass in Chemistry mock exam will boost my confidence.
I have yet to pass a single chem test so far.
Need to brush up on GP paper 2,especially rephrasing. There are plenty of exercises to do.

I DIDN'T KNOW A MEDICAL CHECKUP COSTS $45

After a exhausting day that includes Math,Chemistry and GP lectures, I went to a clinic at GP to get a medical checkup which is required for me to attend OBS. I told the cashier that I need checkup and pass her my Medical Benefit card.

Cashier: sorry, you can't use this card for OBS medical checkup. (-_-)
Me: okay then. How much does the checkup cost?
Cashier: Hold on,I ask the doctor. Please have a seat.

Cashier: It costs around $30.
(I had $28 in my wallet)
Me: Oh I see.Hmm...okay I go home first to take more $.I'll be back later.
Cashier: Would you like me to keep your form here at the moment?
Me:okay

At home, when I was about to go back to the clinic,my mum called.
Mama: Bob,how come the checkup is so expensive? D=
Me: It's around $30.
Mama: Your head! The doctor said $45!Don't go to that clinic;go to polyclinic is cheaper.
Me: Hah?

Forget it,I'll go to polyclinic another day. I continued with my revision.
Half an hour later, I realised that I had left the OBS form at the clinic.
I'm tired of walking.Fasting somemore. When I take back my form, the staffs there appeared to have glum faces.Did my mum scold them? She is daring to do so.

Tonight,my neighbourhood is filled with noise from 2 communities. There's a street opera as well as terawih prayers within close proximity.

MERDEKA!

Happy Independence Day for my relatives in Malaysia - Sheikh Arziman, Sheikh Arhaiziq,Sheikh ....etc
Hope you all will have stable govt, low inflation rate and low fuel price.
Ramadhan is here once again (don't be frustrated,Zaki!) and it's time to refresh the heart and soul.
I had never failed not to fast during the previous two Ramadhans.Keep it up!
Some people will lose weight but that might only last till Hari Raya.
Anyway,to all Muslims, Selamat Menjalani Ibadah Puasa!
=P

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Whoa...long time never update.
Everyday is the same old thing -school and mugging.
20 days to promos

Anyway, my younger sister probably joked with her teacher.
Look the questions and answers below:

Haiisshh....

Teachers' Day celebration tomorrow! I'm not sure whether to go back to Westwood or not.
Hope the one at PJC will end early.

Got back 3 of my mid-year papers today.
I already knew how I had performed after each paper during the examination week.
Nothing surprising.
General Paper: 27/50
Chemistry: 14.5 / 70
Math: 15 / 35
I won't give up on math for sure. The revision practices I did were manageable but things went blackout on examination day.Need 1 more mark to get E.
Slightly happy with GP but I'll need to read more as the marker gave a comment 'essay lacks evidence'.
For Chemistry,no doubt that I'd fail. My class is the worst class in Chemistry with only one person who just passed. No more excuses. If there are people who can get A, why not me? I'm gonna figure this out!
I can't wait to get back History and Economics, the subjects I'm confident with.
My A Level Mother Tongue oral will be held tomorrow!
I'm the second person behind Syafiq. Luckily it is not held today as I am emo and have no mood to talk.
I need to practise pronouncing 'R' properly.
Hope nothing will bring me down tomorrow.
If there is, please let it happen after the oral exam.

Some of the ruggers went to Sentosa today.
Took the monorail from Vivocity.
The touch rugby girls had a competition there.
We played beach rugby, water rugby and poker cards.
Don's tooth was half-broken when we were playing water rugby!
He was calmed. If I were him, I'd cry and want to go dental clinic immediately.
We had fun throwing sand at one another, wrestled one another in the water and gossiping about the "people around us who attracted our attention".
It was drizzling in the late afternoon but we were about to go back anyway.
An unknown girl asked me whether she could borrow a rugby ball. I said can and smiled.
As always, the ruggers told me to sound her and speculation arose.
We got free food from the organisers of the competition due to surplus stock.
Took the bus back to Harbourfront bus interchange.
We saw the group of girls who borrowed our rugby ball.
Hazel sabotaged me when he told the girl that " my captain, the weird-looking Malay guy, would like to have your phone number".
Haishh... -_-
Unfortunately,he talked to the girl's friend.Haha.
Shazwan, Haikal,Kumarran,Wee Cheng,Khalis,Alex and I went to Vivo.
Kumarran treated us doughnuts.
Tired of standing in the MRT.
Same goes in the bus.
I realised that I could have conducted my PW survey to my friends today but I didn't print them.
Great.Wasted.

Deadlines for this,Deadlines for that
One thing in my mind now is Project Work.
Seriously my group have not been efficient.
We had not done data gathering processes such as interviews and surveys.
We only talked and planned but no action taken.
Our GPP has been approved by Mdm Shafa and she said that it is one of the best.
Today, we came up with new survey questions and I had given Febrianto the interview questions about Peranakan culture.
He is a Peranakan anyway. We also asked one of the male Peranakan teachers to have an interview next Wednesday.
I don't mind having stress to keep me active but this is too excessive.
Took a break at concourse with Maverick and Jolene before the Australian Math Competition training started.
We had a math test consisting of 30 questions to be done in 75 minutes.
I closed one eye when doing the first few questions but had to open both eyes wide as I did more questions.
The last five questions were damn __________!
There will be another math training tomorrow morning.
And Chelsea, I can't wait to see your 5-star action!

VIVA ESPANA
EURO fever is over and life is back to the usual boring way.
Oh...Deco has joined Chelsea!Hope that Ronaldo would join Real Madrid.
I will only have to go to school on Thursday and Friday for PW workshop and Australian Math Competition training.
Ber Han sms-ed me yesterday and said that he is planning a Sentosa trip for the ruggers this Saturday.
The touch rugby girls will have a competition there as well. (surely the ruggers would be willing to go)
I went to the gym yesterday evening. I did not run long distances for almost a month now.
As for today, I've got nothing to do that I searched the piano tabs of some songs and tried to play them on my keyboard.
I managed to play Kelsey by Metro Station and What I've Done by Linkin Park.
It was quite simple because I did not play the chords.

No school for the next 3 days for me.
I'm trying relax my mind after one week of hell examination.
Yesterday, I had a dental check-up at NUH.
Played soccer with phattzion and at night, 'lepak' with them at Pioneer Mall with our laptops.
This morning,my mum, brother and I went to our grandparents' house.
My grandparents bought a new LCD TV bigger than the one in my house.
At 3pm, I went to Joey's house. Syahiran and Hanis were there too.
Then, we smuggled into Floravale. Joey and I swam in the pool while Hanis and Syahiran met Khairul.
We ate KFC after that.Saw Azhar.
I went back to my gandparents' house again.
They gave their old TV to my sister.

EURO FINAL in a few hours time!
Both Germany and Spain are my favourites.
I'll watch it!

Another accident near my house...

I was about to have dinner with my sister at home when heard a long and loud screech and honk.
I rushed out with my handphone to the scene which is located beside the bus stop near my home.
A huge crowd gathered there.
I saw scattered headlights of the lorry and a man lying flat on the road 5 metres ahead of the lorry.
His slippers were far away from him.
Thank God that he could breathe a bit.
Hope that he will recover.
The previous accident on the same road ended in fatality.
I'll give the 4-digit numbers of the license plate to my dad for 4D.

Stupid ambulance! One lane of the road is being blocked and yet the driver stops this ambulance on the other lane.

God bless you,victim.

Anyway, I had a haircut today after doing revision at CC.
Fever is gone but headache is still there.

Thursday, June 19, 2008

Oh no...I'M SICK AGAIN!!!
Having fever.
Body temperature 37.7 degree C.
Headache as well.
What a critical time to fall sick!
Mid-year exams in 3 days time!
Damn it.

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Sigh....just completed Chemistry online assignment.
The notes at the side of my laptop were not useful as the time limit was 25 minutes and there were 15 MCQs.
Fortunately the assignment is graded based on participation and not achievement.
Still lacking confidence for mid-year.
Sometimes, I have the content within my fingertips but have poor time-management.
Clement and I slept at Fariss' house last night. Planed to watch Euro but the three of us slept deadly. Imagine what my holidays would be like if the mid-year exam is scheduled before June.
And Ballack, your freekick is much more awesome than Ronaldo!

Sunday, June 15, 2008

1 more week...
If I were to have exam now, I'd surely fail.
What I did so far were merely reading, highlighting and grasping the content.
Not enough.
I need prctices.
The ten-year-series books are still clean as if I had just brought it.
Euro 2008 is inelastic!
I watch at least a game per day.
I didn't have much time to enjoy during the holidays so far.
I only remembered that I went to the Esplanade, Singapore Flyer and town this month.
And those trips were boring.
My mum came back from KL on Thursday and was fortunate to avoid the protest in KL.
I'm still considering whether to go into political science or not.
Take risks!
Going jamming tomorrow.

Visit to the Peranakan Museum...

We wanted to know more about the Peranakan Culture as my group is doing on that topic for Project Work. Only Gabriel,Yuan Sheng and myself visited the museum. Both the girls in our group couldn't go. One had canoeing competition and the other one is in India. We jote notes on our notebooks, took pictures of the artifacts and watched videos there. The place is not bad! We spent more than 2 hours at the museum. Gabriel and I hang out at Peninsula Plaza and ate there as well. Dozed off in the MRT back home. The lightbulb in my bedroom needs to be changed! I'm living in darkness now...

Leadership Training Camp@ Labrador,
2nd June to 4th June

I'm lazy to talk about every single thing we did.
There were fun times and boring times but what most important is what we have learnt from this camp and how to apply them not only in CCA,but also in our daily life.
Monday:
Talks about leadership. Body ache after sitting on the floor for so long.
Mr Kwok sent Wong Jieh and I to CCAB for combined school match.
Each group did survival test which required practical decision-making.
Fire drill at midnight.

Tuesday:
Morning stretching
Preparation for high elements -planning,belaying etc.
High elements from 2-6pm.
Unfortunately,our plan went haywired.
Disappointing afternoon.
Went to hawker centre for dinner with group.
Our group facilitator,Rebecca, treated us drinks and chicken wings =)
Did reflection at night.

Wednesday:
Fire drills at 4am!!! The boys couldn't hear the siren.11 minutes for the first one.
10 km trek to Mount Faber and back to school.
Sang school song and said college creed there.
The different CCAs came out with aims, action plan and challenges.Shared them with other CCAs.
Camp ended at noon.
Took taxi home with Hassan,Jia Hua and Rachel.
Taxi fare: $28
Went for rugby training after that."Never Say Die!" ( though I was really exhausted )

We look like construction workers
Reflections...

Group Dinner.Thanks for the treat,Rebecca=D
Here we are at Mount Faber. The dawning of a brand new day...

As for today, I had Econs lecture in the morning.
Supposed to have combined school match at CCAB but I couldn't make it.
It was cancelled anyway due to field closure.
Started revision (oh finally!) but slept on the desk.
Need to settle Project Work!!!

Sunday, June 01, 2008

Stress-free Sunday!
My aunt from KL came here to go shopping due to the Great Singapore Sale.
I accompanied my mum, younger sister ,Aunt Arlina and her daughter to Orchard at noon.
My mum asked me what I want to buy but I don't know.
After lunch at Lucky Plaza, we took a shuttle bus to the Singapore Flyer.
It was my second time riding it; this time during daytime.
My aunt seemed to be afraid of the height.
It is a much clearer view during the daytime than at night.
Perhaps it would be better during sunset.
After the ride, I decided to go home to prepare for the camp while they ride the duck tour.
I missed it! If only there's nothing tomorrow...
Before taking MRT home, I went to the ABC bargain store to buy some stuffs.
I caught my dad checking the results of 4D on TV at home...
Bad influence...but I promise I won't do the same!
Oh gotta face ITE boys tomorrow!

The stars refused to shine...

Haha Malaysian Government's plan to ban oil sale to foreign cars was delayed and perhaps goes haywired. What a policy! It is fine to impose a non-subsidise price on us but to ban it is really not logical and inconvenient. What if my family started a journey from KL but when we reach Johor, the oil tank is almost empty? U-turn back to the territory beyond the 50 km radius just to pump the car? Plus, the traffic congestion could make matter worse as the engine keeps running while we are being trapped. Since my relatives live in Malaysia, my family would make frequent trips there. I feel that this is their revenge against us after they lost Pedra Branca.
I didn't go out today. I washed my dirty and muddy rugby stuff and do laundry this morning.
Read some notes and then packed halfway for the Leadership Training Camp.
I received the National Service Registration Notice.
Must register for NS between 2nd June and 20th June 2008.
If not, a fine not exceeding $10000 or imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or both will be imposed.
Spent the late afternoon writing another song.
Oh...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO...
Melissa
&
Zulaiha
=D

Friday, May 30, 2008

When can I start my proper revision?
I can't study effectively at night.
Leadership camp next week!
Perhaps I'll have to wait till the 3rd week of holiday.
My PW group is facing problems now.
Due to different schedules, it seems like we can't meet next week.
Mdm Shafa gave me a call and ordered my group to meet next Thursday.
Headache,headache,headache!
Anyway, I had Econs lecture this morning, followed by Leadership Training pre-camp briefing before going to CCAB.
It was raining heavily when the ruggers train.
The combined-schools team will meet the combined-ITEs on Monday.
I followed some of the ruggers to eat at Adam Road food centre.

Thursday, May 29, 2008

Boring day throughout!
Firstly, the PW lesson. We learnt about how to do written report.
Mdm Shafa's students are way ahead of others!
Only 3 members of my group, including me, attended it.
Thus, discussion was not effective and it was boring.
Had lunch at McDonald's with Gabriel. A boring 'date' as both of us were quiet.
Went home to gather my rugby stuff and started my journey to CCAB for combined schools training at 2.15pm although I have to be there by 4pm.
Guess what? I was late eventually by 20 minutes.
1. Missed the 174 bus at interchange as I alighted the same time as the departure of 174.
Waited for 20 minutes for next bus.
2. 5 minutes gone once I board the bus as there were tourists who chose to pay $2 note for the bus ride but the driver repeatedly told them to change it into coins.
3. The bus 174 did not pass through CCAB but instead, it went to Holland Road. I didn't know the route and was lost.
4. After 5 bus stops, I alighted, cross the road and U-turn. Took bus 66 from 6th Avenue.
Miserable and boring journey.
Yeah....no matter how enthusiastic I was about the training, I was late and left bad impression to the coaches. Blame who?
Blame bus driver for being inflexible?
Blame my mum for not sending me there?
Blame my timing? Should I start my journey even earlier?
Oh....they are not at fault...
The answer is....blame myself for not checking the bus route before taking the bus.
Anyway, the training was disrupted due to the bad weather and also there was a tournament being held on the field,so we couldn't use it.Boring situation once again! Training again tomorrow. The training just now lasted less than 45 minutes.
And I ate McDonald's again at KAP.... is this "Supersize Me?"
Damn, must watch out for my diet!
The journey back home was also boring.
M1 Tens tournament clashed with the combined schools training

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

The pace of the Chemistry lecture was super fast.

Ting Wei helped to repeat the concepts to me during the short break.

I ate McDonald's with the hockey boys during lunch.

Went back to school again to complete EOM.

Training today was fun, with racist elements and we also criticised Malaysia for banning foreign cars from buying petrol in Johor.

Go to hell with their their policies, we Singaporeans have nothing to lose.

90% of the customers of the petrol kiosk are Singaporeans.

Up to them to lose business.

I realised that I have trainings from Monday to Friday.

Me, Wong and Abel have combined school training tomorrow and on Friday.

I can't do revision this week.

No comment about this photo... This guy is definitely not me!

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Sorry babes and hunks out there!
Really busy this week.
Everyday come home late after 10pm.
I'm taking a break now before continuing my EOM.
Nothing much today and yesterday.
Lecture and then training.
Oh I played CS at Raja's house before training today.
Lost 21 and won 4 against his brother.
And lost 4-2 against Raja when playing FIFA.
Don't laugh. I'm a study freak. No time for games.
I wish I had.

"every father mother son..."

Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone...
Anyway,

Avram Grant is SACKED!

Thank you for making Chelsea:
2nd in the Premiership
2nd in the Champions League
2nd in the League Cup
Lost to Giant-Killers Barnsley in FA Cup

No silverwear this season but I appreciate his resilience in reviving Chelsea from the dead.
No matter what, Abramovich judges a manager by the number of silverwears he won, not the qualities that he has. Goodbye!

I spent the whole day at home.
Just read the notes and stuff without practice.
Another song written but I was fed-up that I lost the adapter for my keyboard.
Using a guitar would be better.
I have to come to school everyday next week.
No point treating it as holidays.
And good luck to those who have O Level MT exam on Monday!

Gentarasa 2008

The JC1 Malay students watched Gentarasa at the Esplanade today.
I had to forgo the M1 rugby 10s and also Phattzion match.
Mr Yacob Ibrahim attended it as well.
The performance was okay but I observed that some people slept.
I only like the background music which was played live but the dance made me feel bored.
And those mats and minahs who sat near me just couldn't keep their irritating mouth shut.
Syafiq shouted at them while I scolded vulgarities to them in my heart and gave a stare.
After the performance, we ate BK at Marina Square and hang around.
We also went to Orchard to check out the latest fashion.
And talking about fashion, some of us watched a fashion show at the Heeren.
Went home after that with Syafiq and my legs are tired after standing in MRT throughout the journey to Boon Lay.
I checked out the score from Nazreen.
Phattzion lost 3-1 to NT Warriors.
One of the factors for the lost was that their captain didn't play but that is not an important one.
Don't know what to do tomorrow.Maybe I'll just do revision at CC.
Long time never study there.

Mr Yacob Ibrahim walking to the theatre
Mats of different kinds relaxing one corner

Fashion Show at The Heeren

You know it tears me up inside

to see the feelings that you hide

Hide inside that empty bottle.

I wish you saw how great you were

I wish you saw what life was worth

You wouldn't have to hide your problems

GP exam this morning. I did question 6: "Marriage is no longer an attractive option in modern society. How true is this in your country?". I find it okay and hope to do well for it. Chemistry lesson after that but less than half of the class attended it. In the afternoon, I went to CCAB for the combined schools rugby training. It was great and I learnt alot from the players. The tactic when attacking was complicated at first but after a number of practices, I could understand it. Abel, Wong Jieh and I ate at Al -Ameen where I met Nazreen and Zaki. Nazreen,Zaki and I went to CCK to meet Raja and Hamizan for no good reason- just to interact and disturb Zaki. Suddenly out of nowhere, we saw Shaun and gang. We had a chat with one another and it was like a mini-reunion. Went home after that. I'm so exhausted. My friends can't stop teasing me about John Terry's missed penalty. It doesn't matter. What matters to me is that Cristiano Ronaldo missed the penalty. I was a Man Utd fan but when he entered Man Utd, I began to hate them.
M1 10s tournament tomorrow but I can't attend as I will be watching Gentarasa at the Esplanade with the Malay students. Phattzion will also have a match against Anti-warriors at Westwood field but the 'star' players such as me (as if) and Fariss can't make it. See how Phattzion would perform without their captain.

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Track and Field Meet was held today in PJC but I didn't attend it. Owens,my house, won it and congratulation to those who competed. Before the event started, there was a cold war among a former student and a Pioneer. I don't know whether it turned out to be radical or not. Wong Jieh, Abel and I headed to CCAB where we were supposed to have a combined schools rugby trial but it has been postponed to this Friday due to the poor attendance. We were frustrated though but it is okay. We were so enthusiastic that we arrived there at 3.15pm even though it was supposed to start at 4. The selected combined school squad will compete with those from poly and ITE and those who can make the cut will go to Darwin,Australia. I don't know where my standard is as compared to other players. I'll just have to play and do what I can this Friday.
On Friday, I have GP exam in the morning and was planning to go to the Peranakan Museum for PW but too bad that I have the trial. Abel and I ate McDonald's at KAP before going home. I went back to CCK to buy contact lenses. Went home with Hannah. I'm going to have busy schedule during the holidays.

Wong, Abel and myself on the 'journey' to Australia.

Sunday, May 18, 2008

I'm really bored.
I had no one to talk to verbally throughout the day.
Indeed a lonely life.
I only ate nasi lemak for lunch though I have $100 to spend.
I did my assignments since noon and left with revision for the upcoming test.
I feel this is a boring post as I start the sentences with the letter 'I'.
Nothing else to say.
Going out later to eat.

COLLEGE DAY
Past VS Present
Both the rugby alumni teams achieved the top two positions. To be honest, I didn't play that well today. A forward like me had to play fullback position which I'm not used to. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves. There was an alumni who 'fly tackled' me that left me flat onto the ground for a second. I want to watch the replay of that incident but could not. The ruggers ate at Lot 1 again after that. I didn't do any assignment today.I really need a rest. Now I'm at Pioneer Mall with Kiong,Joey and Syahiran with our laptops. I hate doing laundry at home and the birds are really irritating!

Friday, May 16, 2008

Once again, I had poor time-management while doing History test- this time I didn't write the conclusion. Ms Adeline Tan, our Econs teacher, did not teach us during her period and instead, she allowed us to study for History. Chemistry lesson was 2 hours just now. I tried my best to pay attention but couldn't. The student Leaders of various CCAs had a briefing just now. We will be having a camp. Rugby training was fine. Most of the ruggers ate at Lot 1 after training. Past vs Present game tomorrow for College Day! My family is surely having a great time in KL. I wish I were there too. Lots of responsibility at home -laundry,tidy home, wash dishes and also feed the 4 birds. I have the cat outside my house to accompany me.

Why don't we hit 'restart' and 'pause' it at our favourite part?

Thursday, May 15, 2008

HOME ALONE
My family headed to KL to attend my cousin's wedding this weekend and it is another 'home alone' for me. I wanted to come along but there is a test tomorrow and I also have activities to participate in on College Day. Have a safe trip!
Today's Econs test was okay but poor time-management caused me to have little time to do the last question which is 8 marks out of 25. I knew how to answer the question but it is too late and just hope that I can pass it. Other students also faced the same problem. Those who skipped the Malay tutorials were caught by Mdm Siti just now. I hope they had learnt their lesson. My class had GP lecture before we were dismissed.
I was appointed as the rugby captain yesterday and my teammates commemorated it by 'poling' my ___ against the rugby post ( must censor a bit coz got teacher reading this!). Okay, gotta rest well for History test tomorrow...

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

A Level Chemistry SPA Skills B and C tomorrow. What is there to prepare except to practise stoichiometry questions. I am concern about the calculations. Hope things will go well for me tomorrow. No more mistakes. I had enough of it. On Thursday there will be Economics test and on Friday, History test. Next Tuesday will be SEA History test and on that Friday, it will be GP Mid-year exam. I'm not whining or complaining. I'm just preparing mentally. No JC2s for tomorrow's rugby training. We're on our own, a team of one! We'll be back stronger next season. And we'll build on this on 14 May.

A smile from you will do...=D

First thing first, I would like to congratulate Man Utd for winning the EPL title (insincerely).
It would be meaningless if Chelsea were to ift the title without captain John Terry, who was hospitalised after collision with Petr Cech. Wasted my time last night.
Today, the ruggers received the medals during morning assembly. It is my second medal so far in PJC. More to come for sure but too bad that I didn't sign up for any event for the Track and Field Meet. Lessons were boring as per normal but the highlight for today was during History lecture. Ms Nura was frustrated and annoyed with our attitude. She said that her Normal Technical class was "so much better" than us. She had been tolerating our shit and nonsense - latecoming, late submission of assignments, not attentive in class and more- since the start of the term. She left the lecture halfway and the History students had nothing to do for the remaining half an hour.
During PE, the girls did their NAPFA test while the boys were free to go. Nabil, Syafiq,Gabriel and I played soccer with other Pioneers till 7pm. We're sorry Ms Nura but there is no point apologising as she said "words don't mean anything". She wants to see our "actions". Saw Melissa in the bus on the way home. I can tell that she is stressful. Perhaps Daphne Tay might be much more stressful in poly and memorise her notes in the MRT.Haha...

PJC 47-0 NYJC

PIONEERUGBY achieved 2nd runner-up for the Police Rugby Cup Plate Divison after beating Nanyang JC in the 3rd/4th placing. It was the last game for the JC2s and they made the day theirs. I didn't manage to score and I also missed the conversion kick. Nevermind about that, it was a clean sheet for us. I will miss the JC2s and from now onwards, they will not train with us anymore. Good luck to them! I watched the Final match in which CJC beat JJC before eating McDonald's at KAP with Neeraj,Andrew,Haikal,Kumaran,Wee Cheng along with their 2 secondary school friends.A Level Chemistry SPA next Wednesday along with Economics and History tests. I can't afford to fail any of them from now onwards.

The 2nd runner-up medal
Thank you supporters!!!

NAPFA test today during PE lesson. So far I have 3 As- 2.4km,shuttle run and sit and reach. And for the first time in my life, I managed to do 6 pull-ups. Don't laugh. It is not easy but I'll continue to improve on it. The lessons today were not bad. My Project Work group met Mr Eddie Koh after school to seek guidance on the topic on Peranakans. Thanks to him that we have places to venture and research as well as relevant sources. I won't take the game tomorrow lightly! Good luck ruggers!

Be A Rugby Captain Again?
I don't know why but most senior ruggers and the J1s recommend me to be the next captain. Whenever they say that, I always said 'no lah' or 'there are better candidates' but they disagreed. I must not think about myself in this situation and instead, think about the team. Whatever it is, I have to be mentally prepared to hold that position. Not becoming captain will reduce my burden by I had done this before in Westwood -balancing between studies and CCA. Nothing new. Just maintain and improve on that. The training just now was the last one for the JC2s. Must have pride in the game this Friday. PJC's principal Mrs Tan will attend that match at CCAB along with the supporters. Nanyang JC surely want to seek revenge as we beat them in the group stage. Jolin the unknown girl still sms me.I thought she had stopped it. She is trying to be nice but still I didn't reply her. This is a consequence of flirting. Just have to watch my steps.

One more training session and one more game before the JC2 ruggers step down. Let them enjoy the taste of rugby for the next 3 days at least. We are facing Nanyang JC once again and I want to score this time. Anyway, it was Blues' Monday yesterday as Chelsea beat Newcastle 2-0 but the Monday Blues phenomenum is consistent as I received my Chemistry test result yesterday. Like what I said last week, I screwed up the test and got 7/30 though I had spent 7 days revising for it. 1 mark per day. The maths test which my class did was simple but as for me, I had no time to check and I made 2 careless mistakes. I learnt from them right after the test. Pissed off with myself. Today was fine and I love the topic on Normal Distribution. The introduction to Organic Chemistry is really complicated with more functional groups and principles. I'll read about it before going to bed. Oh yeah I forgot t mention that my timing for 2.4km is 10.15 mins which is an A for my age. Sorry,I know I'm a show off but I would do anything as long as I'm happy.

The result above does not reflect well about me.

Why should I not be happy at the first place?
I mean there's no reason why I should be unhappy.
Losing the semi-final did not affect me to a large extent.
I could afford to smile after that game.
Is it because the girls I like don't spend time with me?
Well, that is because I don't have time to spend with them.
It is a mutual understanding.
Is it because my pimples make cause me to have low self-esteem?
Well, I have more than enough money to spend on facial treatment but the time is not suitable.
Like it or not my pimples will be gone eventually.
Friends? I have lots of them to have fun with.
Jealousy? Yeah maybe but that can be easily overcome.

So what is my problem?
Studies? That's normal.
Maybe I have been thinking too much about other irrelevant stuffs.
What do I care if Chelsea win the title? I don't benefit from it.
Why should I care too much when tests are coming? They are just testing my understanding.
I've been caring too much about other things, instead of myself.
Let me try to be more self-centred.
Okay, nothing happens. Just think about what will I learn tomorrow. Nothing else.

Another boring Saturday. I made breakfast for my siblings before going to Jurong East Library to do my Malay Project which is to be submitted next week. I forgot to bring my foolscap paper so I just type my work on my laptop. I spent my time there until 4pm. After that I played soccer with Syahiran,Kiong,Joey and Asyraff. The 3 early goals that Man Utd scored against West Ham further spoilt my emo and heartbreaking mood. Damn. It will be Blues' (Chelsea) Monday at St James Park. Maybe I need Jolin to sms me but too late. Lots of assignments tomorrow...
